Brief Profile:

Obtained Ph.D. in Dairy Technology from NDRI, Karnal, Haryana. Currently working as Professor and Head, Dept. of Dairy Technology & Head of Division (Dairy Science), Dairy Science College, Hebbal, Bangalore. In the capacity of Division Head (Dairy Science), he is instrumental in monitoring the research projects of Dairy Science Division. Area of research:  Bioactive milk peptides, Food Rheology, Geriatric Foods, Functional and Nutraceutical Foods.Operating research projects funded by DST, DBT and MOFPI, Govt. of India, New Delhi. Completed International Project in collaboration with CERELA, TUCUMAN, ARGENTINA.Recipient of many national and international awards for his professional contribution.Life Member of many scientific organizations like IDA, AFSTI etc.

Since 1995 working in the capacities of Teaching, Research and Extension in the filed of Dairy Technology. Guided so for 6 M.Tech and one Ph.D student. Participated in few national and international conferences. Completed two university funded projects. served as Academic council member for KVAFSU, Bidar Published research paper in reputed journals and chapters in textbooks.


Current areas of Research:
Utilization of by-products and functional ingredients in the development of value added dairy products and Paneer & paneer based spreads.

“Development of Technology for the production of enriched thermised paneer spread.”

Brief Profile : Presently working as Assistant professor in the department of Dairy technology undertaking UG and PG courses. Also engaged in various Extention activities and Projects. Have published more than ten research articles , scientific abstracts in National and International journals. Reciepient of Best paper presentation Award, Best poster presentation Award and Best Scientist Award. Gold Medal awarded for Doctoral research work. Have completed Lead auditor course in ISO-22000. Further enthusiastic in developing innovative product based on minor millets and dairy byproducts.

Msc Research work: Development of lactose hydrolysed selected khoa based sweets.

Doctoral Research work: Technological intervention for utilizing Nutricereal and Whey Protein Concentrate in developing Ready-to-eat food.

Passed in I class with distiction and awarded Gold medal, for the Ph.D work done upon “Development of nutritious ready to cook extruded milk-cereal based noodles like products”. Passed in I class in M.Tech (Dairy Technology) work done upon “Development of low calorie Pantua enriched with whey protein concentrate”. Two credit seminars presented on the topic: Intelligent packaging system for foods and Six sigma concept in food industry
